2012 Itinerary: (See some of our special memories below!)
Day 1: Flight to Israel: Meals will be served on board. Overnight en route
Day 2: Israel - Jerusalem
Upon the group arrival to Israel, you will be met by a representative and your tour guide at Ben Gurion Airport. The group will then transfer to your hotel. As we make our way to the hotel, we will make our first stop to view the breathtaking beauty of the hills of Jerusalem … beginning our aquaintance with this magical city! Welcome dinner tonight. Overnight: Jerusalem D
Day 3: Jerusalem
Today will be a special journey through the history, religions, beauty, people, architecture, tastes, sights and sounds the make Jerusalem a city like no other in the world! From the Western Wall, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, to the Dome of the Rock ... and everything in between! After dinner, you will be treated to a surprise in the Old City ... sit back, relax and enjoy! Overnight: Jerusalem B/D
Day 4: Jerusalem – Free Day
Today is your day to go back and re-visit, relax, explore the markets, museums or shopping. Along your way, you will experience the feeling of Jerusalem, as it prepares for the Jewish Sabbath. For those that wish to visit Bethlehem, this will be the time. We will organize the visit for you with a guide and driver. Overnight: Jerusalem B/D
Day 5: Jerusalem - Negev Desert -Dead Sea
A day of beauty and wonderment! Waterfalls in the desert, the bravery of Masada, the Dead Sea, salt water pools and, of course ... the mud!!! We top off this incredible day with dinner under the stars! A perfect ending to a perfect day! Back to Jerusalem and, should you have the energy, you're free to enjoy the cafes, shopping, music - Saturday night in the city! Overnight: Jerusalem B/L/D
Day 6: Upper Galilee - Golan Heights
We say goodbye to Jerusalem as we head to the beautiful north for 2 nights - exploring ancient Roman ruins, visiting a crusader fortress and enjoying the beauty of the Sea of Galilee from a boat. We will learn the religious and historical signficance of this area and we'll have a scenic lunch along the way! At the hotel, you can relax on the patio and enjoy the views! Overnight: Galilee B/D
Day 7: Sea of Galilee: Another day in the north of perspective, beauty, views, history and a bit of “bringing it to present day” as well. We will learn, from a strategic perspective, some of the struggles of the communities in the north, visit a site of one of the largest tank battles in Israel’s history during the 1973 war and then meander the ancient, cobblestone streets of Safed (a picturesque city of spiritual people and artists, wrapped in mysticism and mystery). Overnight: Galilee B/D
Day 8: Galilee / Haifa: Today all of your senses will be engaged as we make our way from the Golan Heights to Haifa. You will enjoy the stunning sights, sounds and water of the grottos along the Lebanese border, the smells and tastes at a spice farm that grows spices for cooking and medicinal purposes as well as the breathtaking views of the Baha’i Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage sight. Enjoy some free time in the city of Haifa Overnight: Haifa B
Day 9: Coastal Plain / Tel Aviv: Continuing to make our way towards Tel Aviv, our first stop is free time for you to go and explore in a beautiful town in the north established as a “neighborhood” for artists only. Lunch today will be an event, in a private home in the Druze community. A tour and tasting at a beautiful winery in a town perched high overlooking the sea will be our last stop before we watch the sun setting into the Mediterranean in the gorgeous coastal town of Caesarea. Day 10: Tel Aviv: Good Morning Tel Aviv! Today will be a leisurely, half day to learn a bit of the history of Tel Aviv. A visit Independence Hall, walk and learn the history of the ancient, port city of Jaffa and then you are free to roam! (Optional show in Tel Aviv, based on show schedule & availability) Overnight: Tel Aviv B
Day 11: Tel Aviv
Free day. Hotel rooms will be available to you until departure to the airport at night. Farewell dinner at Hotel B/D
Day 12: Arrival Back Home .... SEE A FEW OF OUR PHOTOS BELOW, CAPTURING WONDERFUL MEMORIES!
